Staff Picks for Fall 2011
Genghis Khan series by Conn Iggulden.
I absolutely loved this fast-paced series about the infamous Mongol
Khan. If you like historical fiction give it a try, even if it isn’t
your typical cup of tea – you may be pleasantly surprised.
All I Ever Wanted /Kristan
Higgins
Cute, fun, perfect beach read!
The
Language of Secrets/Diane
Dixon
What would you do if , as an adult, you went
back to your hometown as a child , only to discover the house you grew
up in was now owned by strangers and you didn’t know where you family
moved? What then would you do if you found you had a gravestone in the
family plot with your date of death twenty years earlier? Part family
fiction, part thriller, part mystery…an intriguing read!
Smokin’ Seventeen/Janet
Evanovich
Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum is back with
more hilariously funny tales of her life, including more car
explosions, a hex on her from one of her boyfriend’s grandmothers, not
to forget she still is torn between two boyfriends, and her place of
employment has moved into an RV. Another great summer read from Janet
Evanovich.
Evidence by Jonathan Kellerman
This story deals with a couple found murdered in
an abandoned house. Good story that keeps you guessing to the end.
Heartwood/Belva Plain
This book is a sequel to Evergreen. Warm
and well written. Worth reading.
