Due to the Corona Virus, the Department of Public Works is open by appointment only. Call us at 528-6379 to make an appointment. A mask will be required to enter the building.
Need a sticker for your recycle bin? Call us and we will mail it to you.
Need bulky item stickers? Write us a letter. Include a check (written to the "City of Laconia"), the quantity ($6 per sticker), where you want it sent, and mail it to: Laconia Department of Public Works, 27 Bisson Ave., Laconia NH 03246.
Furthermore, for your convenience, we have installed a drop box next to the south entrance of the DPW building (not the side near Enterprise Rent-A-Car). The DPW drop box is available only during business hours: Mon-Fri 7:30am-4:00pm. This is intended to allow you to drop off completed permit applications, requests for information and copies of certificates of occupancy, . . . . Make sure your paperwork includes a phone number and a mailing address.

Solid Waste DisposalLaconia is a member of the Concord Regional Solid Waste Resource Recovery Cooperative which operates a waste-to-energy incinerator to dispose of the solid waste from 17 communities.To determine those weeks that the recycling is picked-up and the holidays that delay service, we encourage residents to use the curbside collection schedule. Sewage DisposalLaconia is a member of the Winnipesaukee River Basin Program which operates and maintains a regional wastewater collection system and treatment plant that serves nine communities in the lakes region. |
